- Technical codes (mise-en-scene, cinematography, editing, sound)
- Narrative
- Themes/issues
Success Criteria
- Write in full sentences
- Should have at least a paragraph for each clip
- Cover all technical areas
- Use specific examples from the clips
The Hangover - Wake up scene
this particular film emphasises its genre through its use of mise-en-scene by allowing us to see one of the main characters waking up with dribble sliding down his face, a bathtub full of adult toys and childish looking games with the character looking rough and literally looking like he has a rough and heavy 'hangover'. this allows the audience to accept and read the genre which this film is - comedy. we get this also by the ridiculous realisation from the group of friends when they realise that there is a tiger in the bathroom but they find it funny rather than terrible worrying which you would if you were sober and in your normal frame of mind.
the cinematography allows the audience to have some of the comical things revealed to them such as when the man is using the toilet then the tiger suddenly appears its done in a comical way where the reactions are slower and the character isn't phased by the true danger that he is actually in.
the sound within these clips are quiet and natural, they make it seem like they are all clueless and have no idea what has happened, it leaves us to discover what happened last night as well.
The editing has been done effectively in ways how the camera moves with the character as though it is mimicking his movements as he stumbles through the apartment.
